10 Year Celebration Book
enFocus, Inc., a leading resource for talent attraction in the South Bend-Elkhart region celebrated its 10-year anniversary. Launched in May 2012, enFocus, attracts recent graduates and young professionals to its fellowship program to catalyze innovation in Northern Indiana and surrounding communities.
Since 2012, enFocus has grown its program and sponsor base and has established not only a sustainable but a replicable business model. Fellows lead sponsored innovation projects, working collaboratively with partners from the region and have completed over 450 innovation projects for our partners.
Fellow teams also help drive economic advancement that has resulted in 43 startups, 65 social impact initiatives, and over $6M in grants generated for partners, all benefiting the region. Most importantly, enFocus has attracted over 1100+ student interns and 150+ Fellows to the South Bend-Elkhart region. Over 70% of the participating Fellows since 2012, have chosen to remain in our region at the conclusion of their Fellowship.
Today, enFocus is well established in St. Joseph County, growing in Elkhart and Marshall Counties, and planning entry into additional communities in 2023. Reflecting on the past and looking forward, Andrew Wiand, Executive Director notes, “we have been successful thanks to the dedication of many—driven young professionals, committed mentors, financial investors, and collaborative regional partners. Collaboration in our ecosystem is strong and that is what will deliver a better future for us all.”
