Harnessing power and passion is essential to excelling as an enFocus Fellow. Our talented team of individuals come from diverse backgrounds and experiences to work with a multitude of stakeholders to enhance community and economic development in the South Bend-Elkhart region.

Our team is composed of talented individuals, and one way we come together is through our willingness and ability to learn. Learning, one of our core values, emphasizes developing your passions and cultivating your skills to shape your journey as an enFocus team member.

As an enFocus Fellow, your intellectual curiosity and creative problem solving will help advance your capabilities. Whether you are learning a new skill to complete everyday tasks, understand different ways to interpret information and data, or increase your social aptitude with community leaders, enFocus provides access to mentorship and professional development resources so you can maximize your professional capacity.

enFocus’ work spans over 100+ projects a year, exemplifying that there is no one skill that qualifies someone for our type of work. An ideal enFocus candidate would have a broad base of capabilities. Typically, Fellows will have in-depth experience in one or many of the following skills needed to complete project work. Examples of common competencies at enFocus include, but are not limited to, data analytics (using R-studio or PowerBI), survey design and implementation (participating in direct community outreach), manufacturing experience, project management (identifying mission critical tasks and creating a timeline for completion), grant writing, and research. In-depth knowledge about one or more skills prepare you to complete project work at enFocus.

Hard skills like the examples given above are a few of the baseline abilities we look for in Fellows. While having an expertise can help you navigate your work as a Fellow, qualities of character are harder to teach and develop. That is why enFocus is looking for Fellows who can express their interests, talents, and passions and how they align with our mission and purpose. Our mission is clear: Empower talent to build stronger communities. Everyone at enFocus is a passionate leader, but their differing initiatives allow them to utilize their backgrounds to strive towards professional goals.

So, what are you passionate about? What skills do you already possess, and which ones need to be developed in order for you to reach your limitless potential?

As you follow our stories highlighting work done alongside our sponsors, explore the possibilities of skill development at enFocus.  A deep understanding of self, community need, and self-motivation all contribute towards your candidacy as an enFocus Fellow. Perhaps your passion is starting a social impact initiative, a start-up, or even helping other organizations reach their goals. Whatever it might be, we look forward to learning more about your professional prowess and how it will continue to build stronger communities for a resilient tomorrow.
