The enFocus 2021-2022 Annual Report documents the nonprofit’s regional impact, growth, and expansion.

This year, enFocus celebrated a decade of innovation in the South Bend-Elkhart region. Driven by its mission to empower talent to build stronger communities, enFocus attracts recent graduates to work in partnership with sponsor organizations to solve problems and launch bold ideas.

In 2021-22, enFocus recruited over 32 fellows supported by interns to complete 80 projects across St. Joseph, Elkhart, and Marshall counties. Projects spanned from new training programs to help bridge the digital divide, to working across the startup ecosystem. Additionally, their partnership with iNDustry Labs at Notre Dame provided the opportunity to drive economic impact by working with regional manufacturers. These collaborations not only stimulated more productive businesses and exciting new initiatives, but also engaged young professionals, creating future leaders for regional communities.

enFocus has a well-established presence in St. Joseph County, is growing their impact in Elkhart and Marshall Counties, and has now launched operations in Berrien County in Southwest Michigan. Upon reflection, Andrew Wiand, Executive Director shared, “2021-22 was a year of increasing our impact and building organizational strength for the future. Our growth is a collective effort with our partners. I am grateful for their commitment to fostering brighter prospects for all our communities."
